A LinkedIn exchange that was forwarded to me by a colleague:
What happens if we invest in developing our people and then they leave the company?"
CEO answers, 'What happens if we don't, and they stay?"
Now there is food for thought!

Rita, this is another example of the imbalance (hypocrisy?) with which companies view their actions and those of their competitors. To wit: “I love to hire people who have been well-trained by other companies, but God forbid I train someone and they take that knowledge to another company!”
Here’s another. “I want you to sign an airtight noncompete agreement so you can’t work for a competitor, yet I love to hire competitors’ employees.”
